Comfort

He cried out in sorrow. Nothing but pain left behind those dark eyes, I wanted to comfort him, but what words could I say? How could a comfort someone who had given up hope? I couldn't tell him things would be better or how this was just a passing moment of time. This was the end, and I had no words to comfort him as I did so many times before.
