Pizza Time

I can smell Santana Bros. Pizza from outside the door. I don’t care about the doll anymore. I knock on the door until Abigail opens it. I hand her two boxes of the cheap grocery store wine she loves and keep moving right past her. She’ll forgive me, this is the best pizza in the world. I don’t even look for a plate, I just grab a square right from the box and bite into it. This is the only time a pizza cut into squares is acceptable. Oh sweet sweet pizza, topped with everything in the kitchen but no mushrooms. This is perfect.

“I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself,” Abigail interrupts.

“Oh, you know I’ll do anything for Santa Bros.” I joke with her.

“Sure, you will, just be lucky I’m going to be so drunk I’ll forget.”

“Alright, what movie are we watching tonight?”

“We are watching Gate of Betrayal a classic samurai film.”

“Sounds great,” I plop down on the couch with a few slices and wait for Abigail to join me.

A trash movie, with great pizza. Almost perfect. Abigail sitting down next to me makes it perfect.
