"You heard anything about Susan lately," Jessica asks me.
"The lady who got fired? No. I haven't," I know where this is going already.
"I heard she recently went on a murder spree with her boyfriend who used to be part of The Hell's Angels but got kicked out for being too much of a bad ass."
Jessica was the town gossip. She wouldn't hesitate to make up fake stories just to get the truth. I stopped playing her mind games a long time ago. She's been upset about it ever since.
